My husband really loves garlic bread. It is the one thing I think that he could survive off of. But he doesnt much care for dips. I am talking the famous spinach dips, dill dips, etc. He thinks that there is just too much sour cream, mayo and cream cheese in– which is really a shame because I LOVE Dips. I mean, candy and sweets is to a child as dips and cheeseballs is to me. I LOVE them. I am not much of a candy or chocolate type of gal. Women always say they get through their time of the month with a big ole pile of chocolates, me? Chips and Dip, all the way. Give me something salty!
Grassland Gourmet, based out of South Dakota, makes super yummy dips. My favorites are the Gold Dust Dilly Dip and the Cool Cucumber Dip, but as of tonight, their Parmesan & Garlic Galore dip is my new fav!
It is SO simple to make, you simply mix this yummy dip mix with one 8oz packet of cream cheese and 2 tbsp of softened butter. You can then proceed to use it as a spread on french bread (simplly spread on bread, place on baking sheet in a 350 oven until warm) or you can use it as a dip!
Today is South Dakota, we got a lovely blizzard. No school, dangerous driving, accidents everywhere type of blizzard, so we decided to hang out at the store and try up some of the Grassland Gourmet dips we havent yet! Our official Wine & Dip night is on February 11th, from 4-8, but we thought we would try just one tonight!
I opted to put some artichoke hearts in the dip, and then eat with tostitos chips, but I bought some french bread and diced it up so my husband could have a try. Since we don’t have a stove at the store, I thought just dipping the cubed bread in the dip would suffice, and I was right! He was dishing up spoonfuls of this yummy delicacy on his bread, and eating it right out of our mini dipper crock pot! It was yum!
Next time, I will for sure be making this yummy dip with Mama O’ Grady’s Beer Bread!
