I LOVE when I get products in the mail to review. I just love trying out new products in particular, but lets be real, getting it free is a great bonus!
So, while we are being real, lets talk about time it takes to do hair in the morning. Some people find that getitng dolled up is a priority, and why yes at one point it was for me, but having four kids truly took a toll on the amount of time it takes to pamper yourself. Although having a good image helps you stay motivated, sometimes as moms its just easier to pull your hair back in a pony tale and throw on some sweat pants.
So convenience and time efficiency was defiantly a bonus with this hair care product. You aren’t adding anything into your daily regimen, and you literally SAVE TIME straightening your hair!
So how does it work?
First, you simply use the shampoo and conditioner as usual. The “Pre-Conditioner” (before conditioner) is to be used 1X a week, and it seriously intensifies your “straight-do”
Next, you towel dry your hair, apply a pea size amount of the straightening balm, and follow with a heating tool. When I did my hair, I used my blow dryer and noticed a huge difference. I have such thick hair, and almost always follow with a straightener because of my frizz, but found that I didn’t even need to follow with a straightener if I didn’t want to! But, I did, because this girl loves her a bit of straightening!
I found that when I was straightening my hair, it cut back the time it takes in half. My straightener flowed through my hair so smoothly that it took literally 5 minutes to achieve the same straight look that would normally take 10-15 minutes.
The smell, you ask? Yes, that is important. I thought it had a grapefruit scent, and it was truly lovely. Sometimes when I get product from the salon I am overwhelmed by the “chemical” smell, but this product didn’t have one bad stench to it, which was great!
The price isn’t terrible either, being only a bit more expensive then my usual shampoo and conditioner. For a person like me who doesn’t use a ton of product in their hair, the additional balm and pre-conditioner can add a bit of expense but I believe it is worth it in the long run. Because you only use a pea size amount of both the balm and the per-conditioner (the pre-conditioner is only once a week) I really feel as though these products will last quite a while!
