My husband, is the best. I mean, -cherries on top of a big ole bowl of ice cream- awesome. I had a Cricut that I would cut vinyl on, but just your plain jane that didn’t do much bigger than a 6×12 layout. And, I could only use cartridges, which by the way when you like to design vinyl, doesn’t make it very easy, AT. ALL. I couldn’t customize anything, I couldn’t design anything, unless I wanted to cut it and then do it all by hand- letter, by, letter. No thank you. So, I would design my vinyl I would want for signs, and send it off to the “big guys” who specialize in vinyl, and feel super terrible that my tiny job was taking away from the much larger jobs they obviously have! Or, I would order vinyl from other companies, but what is the fun in that when you can design your own? So, what does this guy do (guy, meaning my husband, yes I know I am rambling and completely off track)— He gets me a brand, spanking, new Vinyl Cutting Machine with all the bells and whistles. Awesome software, that makes it super easy to not only design and cut, but I can import logos, designs, etc as well. I was like a kid in a candy shoppe. It of course came with all these awesome accessories, which I of course oogled over. And it even came with a gift card to get designs from other really awesome artists! So I spent a great big chunk of last week, (while I was sick, of course) creating awesome signs for the store! And, they ROCK!

Why is this so exciting for me? Why am I absolutely freaking out? Because I am a HUGE Quote Person. Words are super powerful. Think about it. What someone says can either lift you up or tear you down. When you see quotes on facebook that pertain to you, or someone you know, how likely are you to share it. You can lift someones day up in an instant! Which is why, I myself, have a very hard time walking past quote signs in the store without picking one up, and placing it on my very own walls. I call them “words to live by” and some words are worth reading over and over, every day. Simple reminders to keep your chin up, or even flush the toilet!! HA! So I want to share the power of words with my awesome customers!

So, now that I used a ton of beautiful quotes that came with my gift card, and got used to my new fancy machine, I am super excited to start cutting my favorite quotes and designs! So stay tuned peeps, because I am about to share a ton of “words to live by”!!
