<Please note that this is all personal opinion>
Today is a very important day in America. It is voting day. The day where we get to extend our rights in the voting booths. We get to show our support for our politicians and our country. And most importantly, the last day we have to listen to politicians attack each other commercial after commercial after commercial. That took a turn, didn’t it?
You may ask me who my party is, what side of the fence am I standing with? I won’t give you an answer. Although I see the positive and the negative of each party, I am just appalled and disgusted at the way our candidates attack each other to get votes. No, I do not want to listen to you immaturely bash your candidate and tell me what that person isn’t doing right for our country, or our state. I want to listen to what YOU CAN DO for us. Politics have become so skewed. I wouldn’t vote for someone who digs up all the skeletens in someone else’s closet just to get votes. How is that getting anything done for our country? For our state? That much energy was wasted. I would have much rather seen you at the banquet serving meals to the homeless. Donating your money to our backpack programs (because the amount of money you spent on your campaign could have gotten half of the state out of debt! <ok maybe that was an exaggeration>)
Don’t get me wrong, I vote. There are issues I believe in. I am not a fan of Obamacare, but I do believe everyone has a right to health insurance, that they can afford, IF they want it. I believe our children need to eat healthier, however I am not necessarily a fan of Michelle Obama’s one size fits all “healthy school lunch” plan. I don’t believe in abortion, but I keep an open mind to the exception. So as you can see, I do have my opinions and issues that I speak strongly of. But you will see me on both sides of the fence, or sometimes, standing right in the middle.
This is why I chose to vote for me. Today, I make the difference. Having people out there to help speak for our state, well that’s just great. We need that. But only I directly impact my family and my children, and in all, my community. So the school may serve skimpy lunches because of Michelle Obama’s skimpy lunch program. But I can still send a sack lunch with them that has what I believe is a healthy, full lunch for them. Unemployment on the rise? Amount of homeless families increasing? I might not be able to provide a home or a job, but I can offer my time to volunteer at a banquet, or donate my excess clothes and food to a shelter.
So this is where I tell you who to vote for. Although it is important to find yourself in a voting booth today, make sure that you are also voting for yourself. Make a difference. You may not be on the voting ticket today, but you are on your families voting ticket. Remember who really matters!

I enjoyed your posting today! Well said! Sometimes it seems fruitless as nothing seems,to change, but it is still worth getting, out and vote! At least we are are still able to vote without fearing for our lives!
